and how to get the most out
of the documentation.
Documentation
When you
have a question the first place to look
is Panorama's extensive documentation.
The documentation is supplied in PDF
format that you can view on screen or
print out and read offline. (PDF
documentation can be
downloaded with
Panorama or
as downloaded
individually as
needed. Paper versions of some
Panorama documentation is
also available for
purchase.)
If you are
using Panorama 5.5 or later you can
access the PDF documentation from
the Help
item in the
Panorama menu. The window opens a list
of available PDF documentation on the
left hand side. Simply double click on
any title to open the book in your
systems default PDF viewing application
(usually Preview on Mac's, Acrobat on
PC's).

Screencasts
Often the best way to learn software is
to watch how it's done, so we've put
together an ever expanding portfolio of
screencasts
that walk you step-by-step. (If
you are not familiar with the term
"screencast", it simply refers to
a video of the computer screen, so
that you can watch as if you were
sitting next to the presenter.)
Each screencast is concise and to
the point. Most Panorama
screencasts are on the Screencast
page of this web site, but
sometimes you'll also find the
very latest screencasts on our
YouTube channel
before they appear on ProVUE.com.

When you want to pass along files, images or movies we recommend a web utility named DropBox. This service works on both PC's and Macs to allow you to share files (much like Apple's iDisk) and is free up to 2 Gigabytes. Your "DropBox" appears as a local folder on your hard drive. The contents of this folder are automatically synchronized to the "cloud". You can have multiple copies of your DropBox on different machines and they will all be synchronized. Very cool.
Inside your DropBox there is a "Public" folder. Files in that folder can be accessed by anyone with a web browser. To get the URL for an item in your public folder, right click on the file. You can then share that item with anyone by giving them the link. So if you want to post a screenshot or share a file with the QNA list or with ProVUE technical support staff, just copy it to the public folder in your dropbox, get the URL, and include the URL in your message.
If you use the link below to sign up you'll get an extra 250 free Mb on your DropBox, and so will ProVUE.

Note: If you use DropBox to share Panorama files between your own computers you will probably have to use the platform converter to use the transferred files on the Mac. On the PC they will work fine as long as they have the .pan extension.
