Upgrade Install Question

- I have a buddy who has been using panorama 5 on an old laptop
- He is leaving town tomorrow so I am trying to help him out...
- he just bought a new macbook pro &  upgraded to 5.5

Q: Can he just install pan 5.5 directly on the new computer without having
the previous 5.0 version on the computer - or does he need to install the
old version first?
