empty field

When I want to select records with non-empty records with the Find/ 
Select dialog, I simply set it for FieldName NotEqual  and then leave  
the value box following it completely blank. That works for me in Pan  
5.5

The other suggestion from Jim Bailey Why not simply select  
[FieldName]<>"" and get it over with ?  works when selecting via  
procedure control.
