Setting up generic fields

it's not working. i don't think i'm doing this correctly. when i open
my contacts database it's in the flow chart menu should i be opening
it some other way? sorry this is just really confusing.

Your contacts database should already be open and active when you
open the Generic Fields wizard. If you do that, you should find the
fields from that database listed on the left. If you open your
contacts database after the wizard, or you had some other database in
front when you opened the wizard, you can still use the Database menu
on the menu bar to choose your contacts database. Once you have done
that, the fields should be listed.
