display of pict files in Windows

I am trying to get .pict files (e.g., GQ1.pict) to display in  
Panorama for Windows.
I have a flashart superobject set for the formula to display  
vimagename where vimagename is a variable (vimagename = ImageName  
where ImageName is a field).

this works fine in Panorama for Mac (5.5) but in Windows I get a  
message:

"QuickTimeTM and a decompressor are needed to see this picture"

Though I can find QuickTime on the Windows machine, the image does  
not display.
Why is that?
