For a brief respite from the frustrations that you might be
experiencing, let me share that I work with blind people as part of
my life. One of the things that I've learned is that after I've been
conversing with someone who is blind and when I am going to be moving
away from them, it is important to tell them that I am leaving, else
they might find them self talking to no one if they moments later
desire to continue the conversation that we'd earlier started. It
kind of makes them look stupid to others that may have just shown up
as they are talking to someone who is not there.
This too is how the Panorama client can look to be acting stupid as
it attempts to continue conversation with the server that is for some
odd reason, not able to respond or is unavailable due to some network
issue. Half of a conversation is only half the story and can easily
be misinterpreted.

Don't worry over what other people are thinking about you. They're too busy worrying over what you are thinking about them.
