Acting stupid can happen when the server is not able to respond due 
to a modal action on the server. What does the server screen look 
like? Normal?

If it Panorama client can not see the server, let's start basic, Can 
you ping the computer? Is there by chance a dialog on the server that 
needs to be dismissed? I've seen some Apple dialogs that prevent 
interaction.

Let's try basic troubleshooting before we shoot the messenger.
