One straightforward way to determine your own (her own) external IP address
is to contact a site whose job it is to report who contacted it. One
example is grc.com (Gibson Research Corporation, which has many valuable
security features and tools). Point your browser to
https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2, the ³Shields Up² page, and it tells
you down in the page in text like ³If several of the numbers from your
current IP address (aa.bb.ccc.ddd) appear ....² Might be diffficult to
automate, and there may be other sites that give you this information more
directly. I don¹t think this is information you can determine from outside
by sending her email, she would have to perform the query herself.
