Cleaning up Procedure clutter

This may put you all to say ³Oh my God, how did we let this guy in²?

I have a lot of clutter with small procedures that are activated by Push
Button Super Objects.

Find First Name
Find Last Name
Find Company
Find State

You get the idea.

These two line procedures work like a charm.

What I would like to do is consolidate many of these procedures into one
procedure so that when I click on a button it gives a value to a Local or
Global Variable that depends on the button that I pushed that will in a
follow on or referenced procedure execute that procedure and use the Case
Command to execute a code depending on what button was pushed.

I am not saying the Case Command is the only way to do it but I have used it
successfully.

Simple enough.

How?

Is it a good idea or do you pros have a ton of individual procedures like I
have?
