Word Processing Formats

The main thing that has stopped cold a few of my commercial projects in
Panorama is the proprietary format of the word processor. It is critical
that the software be able to import, display, and export in at least one
of the standards such as ODT, XML, and/or RTF.

Other than Jim making the Word Processing Super Object use standard
format (which I hope is in the plans), does anyone have any idea on a
work around or a way to convert the WPSO format to one of the standards.
Right now the only way that I have found to preserve the WPSO formatting
for export is to print to PDF, but this is not a good way to send
editable documents to others, and there is still no way to import any
formatted text

As I recall the WPSO came from a third party. Might it be possible
incorporate another module for word processing and/or XML viewing from
some third party, such as an Open Source module or browser? I've started
to look at http://opendocumentfellowship.com and
http://bean-osx.com/Essay.html to look for ideas.

So any ideas on how to import/export and display formatted text other to
program outside of Panorama?

Thanks,

Jeff Cook
