Actually, if you are on the local network Panorama will automatically
connect that way. It doesn't use the external address to access the
server unless you are external to the network. (In other words, if it
finds a local server with the right name, that will override any remote
server with the same name you have set up.)

That said, there must be something wrong with your router configuration
if you can't access your public IP addresses from inside your network.
If my router worked like that no one here at ProVUE would be able to
access www.provue.com when they were at work!
