Enterprise - help!

Have been reading chapter 3 and thought I had this figured out, but
it's just up up and away with the blood pressure.

Page 111 shows how the database name on the server can be changed
to avoid conflicts. I've tried this in various ways and nothing is
working, so need more hand holding. The situation described is
exactly mine: "...the database may be part of a set with extensive
lookups and programming between different databases..."

The file I'm working with is named PAN Daily. Am I supposed to share
it under that name on the server, and then create another version of
it, say PAN Daily Client, by entering the new name under the Server
Database Name line? Do both then show up as files that clients can
download? If so, which one should they use? I assume the original
which has all the lookup procedures etc.

Truly confused,
bk
