Enterprise - help!

Adding to notes below:
I converted the DB to single user and was then able to run
the .Initialize procedures. This is awkward, though for an
application which we update twice a day so that it will show current
inventory levels. Any suggestions for how to do this more elegantly
would be very welcome. Can one add a procedure to convert the app to
single user so it can update properly and then convert it back to
shared?
