One of more numeric data cells contain corrupted data.

With consistency, everything is fine with one of my databases until I
delete a field. Then I get the error message "One of more numeric
data cells contain corrupted data."

If I Close File without saving changes and then reopen the database,
all appears ok until I attempt to delete the field. I can use the
Wizard/Utilities/Check Open Databases and everything is reported as
fine before the deletion. If I delete the same field, again the error
message displays. If I then do the Check Open Databases again,
everything is said to be ok after the deletion of the field.

I've got to believe that something is wrong since I can not delete
the unwanted field.

How can I determine where any corruption exists if the Check Open
Database reports everything is fine?
