Tabbing through fields does not trigger procedures ???

Am I really losing it?

I have multiple fields that have procedures attached to them via the 
Design Sheet's Equation field. Those procedures are not running if I 
enter a value and tab to the next field. Only if I hit Return (Enter) 
and stop at that field is the procedure running. Has it always been 
like this?
