999M is not the limit. Panorama will actually allow you to allocate any
amount. However, the system API Panorama is currently using only
supports up to about 1.2GB. I spoke with Apple engineers at WWDC about
this, and it may be possible to increase this to over 2G in future
releases. But for now, about 1.2GB is about it.
