Hello Dave,
Yes, that function does indeed work fine. Instead of saying "built-
in", I should have said "shouldn't that feature of objectinfo( be
included in the Programming Reference Wizard", under the onjectinfo
( listing. That is where I looked for a function to access the called
procedure of a button.
Most of us do not have the expertise and in-depth knowledge of some
of the real experts on this forum (Gary, Jim, yourself, et al.), and
for sure we would be unlikely to know about the back-door methods
described on page 1817 of the handbook. Panorama is so powerful and
has so many features, that for the semi-occasional user, it would be
almost impossible to remember all of the functions available. The
Programming Reference Wizard gives us a chance to look up the correct
function name, even if a little trial and error and searching is
involved. Finding the back-door reference in the handbook, unless you
already know it's there, would be almost impossible for the typical
user. Maybe the Wizard should just reference the Handbook, and say
"More functions are available than those listed here".
Thank goodness for this forum, and the helpful advice always provided.
Best regards,
Vic DiFranco
