Yes it does seem to work fine. But ...
The significant different between the example and my testing was that
the example referenced the field for pulling the flash art instead of
being defined directly in the Flash Art Chart Options dialog.
I altered my test db to use a field and nothing changed. I then coped
one of the Flash Art objects from the example Flash Art Scrapbook and
renamed all of the records to display that new Scrap Art. Very odd
but then I had ONE and ONLY ONE of my plotted points displaying the
Red Triangle flash art. The rest were all still showing the tiny
cross. The db has 16 records in it. I noticed that the first record
had an X of 0 and a Y of 0. For some odd reason, I changed the X to 2
for that first record and voila, all of the plotted points suddenly
changed to the Red Triangle. I then changed it back to 0 and
everything stayed with the Red Triangle.
More playing showed me that I could change one of the records Flash
Art name and that changed that plotted point. If I then copied and
pasted that value by using the up and down arrow to move to different
records, no change was reflected in the chart. But if I opened a cell
and closed that cell, voila, all of the plotted points that were
supposed to be different got redrawn with the new art.
I went back into the chart and tried to have it pull the Flash Art
directly with a named Flash Art object but they did not all change to
that Flash Art. If I then opened a cell and closed it, they all got
redrawn. Apparently I had been happy with my Flash Art Scrapbook and
the continual opening, closing, and changing the Flash Art Options
dialog just wasn't enough but I had to open an close a cell to get
something to change on my chart.

Perhaps not.
