Disappearing Window

Thanks Ron, I will also give that a try as well. I have learned not to get
too excited because I have never lost any data from Panorama, so I know it
is there somewhere. I just don't always know how to find it and get it back
to the original. I've been away from Panorama for a while, first needing to
work in Access and then working with Alpha 5, that I have forgotten a lot.
Now, I am doing a lot of data manipulation, so Panorama suits my needs very
much.

Don't feel too bad, this has happened to me too; unexpectedly and seemingly
without reason (using Pan Win). And it usually happens when someone is
breathing down my neck for information. The first time it happened I had
quite a panic attack.

Here is another trick I use to get the window back without having to close
and re-open the database. While holding down the ctrl key, choose a non-open
window from the view menu. A dialog box will appear letting you tell Pan
where to put the new window.

After the window opens, go to File > Arrange Windows > ... and choose the
window that you normally see. (The data sheet just has the name of the
database.) You won't see the window active since it is off-screen, but the
window that you just opened will become in-active. Use File > Close Window
to close the off-screen window.

Now you can make the window that you can see active by clicking on it and
use the View Menu to select the window you just closed. It should open in
place of the active window. Saving the database at that point should save
the window back in that position.
