Pan Preference files

I've been having problems with Panorama that I've reported to this list
before, the specific problem I won't go into again. The problem goes away when I
log into my computer as someone else, a suggestion by Chris Watts. I guess I'm
tired of doing that so I started looking at my preference files and find that I
have 102 pref. files with the extension ".pan". Many of those are listed
multiple times, for example the file "PerfMgmt.pan" file is listed 16 times,
different dates.

What exactly should be listed in the Preferences files to support the just
released version of Pan and what is the best approach to clean up this mess in
my Library/Preferences? An Apple genious suggested I append the word "old" to
each and launch the application again to allow Pan to create new preference
files then delete the old ones. I'd still like to know what exactly should be in
the Preferences folder for Pan.

I haven't installed Pan Deluxe 55 yet because I'd like to clear up this
problem first. If these older pref files should be removed it would be nice if the
Pan installer could do that for me. Thanks for the help, Dusty
