Sadly, I offer myself as 'proof' that idiocy remains.

Plus things which remain completely mysterious to me, for example a  
procedure which works fine on the Mac side but breaks with an  
'operator expected but not found' error message is often solved by  
removing commented out code such as
//message  "found "+str(info("selected"))
