This release includes an important bug fix for users of macOS 14.4. In macOS 14.4 Apple made a silent, undocumented internal change that conflicted with an internal component of Panorama. This internal Panorama component has been revised to remove the conflict.
- FIXES THE MAJOR PROBLEMS INTRODUCED BY MACOS 14.4. With this new version, opening a database will no longer cause spurious database corruption errors (note - databases were never actually corrupted, the error message was erroneous). In addition, Panorama will no longer require re-registration each time you start up the program (however, you will probably need to enter your email address and password one more time after installing this update).
- The new info(“fonts”) function returns a list of all available fonts.
- Databases that use .CustomMenu will now work properly even if security entitlements don’t allow database modification
- When the context menu is used to insert a field name into a procedure, Panorama will now add the required chevrons if the field name begins with a number.
- Minor usability tweaks to the password reset process - 1) No longer allows password reset with an empty email address. 2) Panorama now allows the reset code to be entered in the password field of the Logon panel (will then automatically switch to the Password Reset panel). 3) There is a new help page specifically for password reset, a link to this page is now included in the password reset email that is sent out (see Resetting a Lost or Forgotten Account ).
- The Instrumentation Log window will now open without an error even if the log path hasn’t been set.
- When a progress window is active (see openasyncprogresswindow), there is now only one visible menu - Progress. The Progress menu contains just one item, a command to close all visible progress windows.
- Documentation corrections submitted by David Scott, Peter Newble.
