5.5
Now Available -- Panorama 5.5 for Windows!
September 25, 2009
It's here! As of midnight, September 25th,
Panorama 5.5 for
Windows is available for immediate
download and purchase. If you've been using
Panorama 4.0 for Windows for the past several
years, you'll be pleased to find that Panorama 5.5
has had a total makeover. The
user interface is completely reworked -- no more
"Windows 95" look. There are lots of nice little
touches like scroll wheel support, much more
efficient processor usage, and resizable Open and
Save file dialogs.
The new version is completely compatible with
Panorama Enterprise Server, so databases can now be
shared simultaneously across multiple PC and Mac
systems. And of course there are over a hundred new
features -- virtually complete parity with Panorama
5.5 for the Mac, including Live Clairvoyance (live
key-by-key searching), built in internet access and
e-mail sending, financial data import, interactive
maps and much, much more.
Of course Panorama 5.5 is ready to go on whatever version of Windows you are using. It is fully tested and compatible with Windows XP, and with both 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows Vista and the new upcoming Windows 7 release. So we've got you covered, both now and in the future.
Transitioning from Panorama 4.0 to 5.5 couldn't be easier. All existing databases created with Panorama 4.0 are 100% compatible with the new version (as are databases created with Panorama 5.5 on the Mac) -- once you install Panorama 5.5 simply double clicking on any database on your PC will automatically launch into the new version. You'll be amazed at the instant new look and feel of your old databases.
Feedback from Panorama 5.5 beta testers has been extremely positive — “worked right out of the box” “you’ll be hooked” “works exactly as advertised” “it rocks.” No need to take their word for it, though — it’s available right now for your PC system.
